Dialectics of Departure - Waterways, 2025, HAU 2

On the occasion of the High Holiday performance series, Ariel Efraim Ashbel and friends present a new iteration of “Dialectics of Departure” - a walk by Ariel Efraim Ashbel and Rachel Libeskind that traces Berlin’s Jewish history and reimagines it as a contemporary, inclusive ritual practice.

Taking place during the week of Yom Kippur, ,the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, the walk reflects on themes of atonement, renewal, and communal responsibility, following bodies of water throughout Berlin.
